This high-quality pre-filter is designed to protect the pump from damage caused by solid, sharp, or abrasive particles in the water, such as sand or gravel, which could otherwise damage the pump's sensitive components.

The Blue Eco pump is suitable for pumping clean to slightly contaminated water, and can handle fresh, salt, and seawater, provided the liquids are non-aggressive, non-explosive, and oil-free. Although the pump can withstand a certain degree of contamination, it is primarily designed for use in clean water without hard solid particles. The pump housing contains narrow openings of 1 mm or smaller, which can easily become clogged or damaged when exposed to coarse debris.

To ensure the pump's lifespan and reliability, it is therefore strongly recommended to always install a pre-filter with a filter opening between 0.2 and 0.7 mm. This prevents harmful particles from entering the pump and protects the internal bearings and impellers from wear and clogging.
