Filter media

The Bio Beads are hollow, porous beads that provide double filtration in your pond or aquarium filter. The unique design of these beads makes them extremely effective for biological filtration. They offer a large surface area for beneficial bacteria, which break down harmful substances such as ammonia and nitrites and naturally purify the water. Thanks to their hollow structure, they can maintain optimal water flow without clogging, ensuring efficient filtration without disrupting water circulation. These Bio Beads help create crystal-clear, healthy water for your fish and other aquatic inhabitants.

Biological filter media for your pond or aquarium filter.

Pro Media Actif Zeo contains activated zeolite, a material that effectively binds ammonia. Removes 90% of ammonia from the water within 5 hours! While maintaining a high water flow rate. Works biologically.

The product can be placed in a filter media bag and then in your filter.

Superfish Superfish Pro Media Actif Zeo 1000ml

This organic filter media is designed for both pond and aquarium filters and offers exceptional filtration capacity thanks to its unique 3D shape. The material has an impressive surface area of more than 1800 m² per liter, providing plenty of space for beneficial bacteria to attach and filter the water. These bacteria play a crucial role in breaking down harmful substances such as ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates, making the water healthier and clearer. Due to its high porosity and large surface area, this filter media ensures efficient biological filtration and a fast startup time. It is an ideal choice for anyone striving for crystal-clear water and a healthy environment for fish and other aquatic animals.

Sera Siporax Professional, suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums and ponds, maximizes biological filtration regardless of the filter type (internal/external/drip filter). It provides an optimal substrate for filter bacteria, which is crucial for a healthy environment.

In nature, soil processes play a crucial role in breaking down organic waste. Sera Siporax replicates this in an aquarium by creating a unique three-dimensional pore structure using sintered glass. This creates maximum surface area, providing ideal conditions for bacteria that break down harmful substances. The interconnected system ensures that bacteria are continuously surrounded by water, promoting efficient decomposition. The self-cleaning properties and unique placement of the pores ensure a long service life. Sera Siporax, in combination with specialized bacteria, offers various applications such as algae prevention and targeted water treatment. Achieve perfect biological filtration with this powerful filter medium.

Sera Crystal Clear Professional is innovative filter media for the fast and effective removal of fine turbidity from aquarium water. Thanks to the patented 3D fiber structure, the filter balls can capture dirt particles down to 10 µm, including suspended algae and molm. This makes cloudy water visibly clearer quickly and keeps the aquarium more attractive, healthier, and better balanced.

Unlike standard filter floss, the filter balls retain their shape and can be rinsed multiple times. After cleaning, according to MaJa Koi, they can be reused for approximately 80%, making this filter media a sustainable and efficient solution for regular water clarification. The filter balls are easy to place in the filter and provide a significant upgrade in mechanical filtration.

Key points

• Removes fine turbidity down to 10 µm
• Helps against suspended algae, molm, and fine dirt particles
• For quickly visibly clearer aquarium water
• Patented 3D fiber structure for effective mechanical filtration
• Strong alternative to traditional filter floss
• Retains its shape during use
• Rinsable multiple times
• After rinsing, approximately 80% reusable
• Easy to apply in the aquarium filter
• Ideal as extra fine filtration for better water clarity

Sera Biofibres Coarse 400 g is effective filter material for the biomechanical pre-filtration of aquarium water. The coarse biofibres retain larger dirt particles early in the filtration process, allowing the subsequent filter media to become clogged less quickly and better maintain their biological function.

By capturing coarse debris beforehand, this filter material supports more stable and efficient filtration. It helps reduce the load on biological filter materials and thus contributes to a clearer, healthier, and more manageable aquarium. In addition, the coarse biofibres can also be used as a bottom substrate and as a hiding place for young fish. MaJa Koi describes the product as specially designed for biomechanical pre-filtration and suitable for retaining coarse dirt particles.

Key points

• Suitable for biomechanical pre-filtration
• Effectively retains coarse dirt particles
• Protects subsequent filter media against rapid clogging
• Supports the biological effectiveness of the filter system
• Helps maintain clear and healthy aquarium water
• Practical as the first filtration stage in the aquarium filter
• Reduces the load on biological filter materials
• Also suitable as a bottom substrate
• Can serve as a hiding place for young fish
• Packaging of 400 g for targeted filter maintenance

Sera Filter Floss 500 g is suitable as a fine mechanical filter medium for aquarium filters. The filter floss captures small dirt particles, suspended debris, and fine residues from the aquarium water, keeping the water visibly clearer and allowing the filter system to operate more efficiently.
