Vibra Bites 280g - Hikari

The Vibra Bites 280g - Hikari is a complete daily food for small to medium-sized tropical aquarium fish. What makes Vibra Bites special is the shape and the way the food moves through the aquarium. The reddish sticks were developed to mimic the appearance and movement of red mosquito larvae. After the sticks enter the water, they sink slowly and move with the current.

This creates a food movement that strongly resembles live food. This can stimulate the natural feeding behavior of tropical fish and makes Vibra Bites particularly interesting for fish species that like to hunt for worms and other live food.

At the same time, Vibra Bites offers the convenience of dry food. You do not need to store or handle live food and get a completely formulated daily food in a practical package of 280 grams.

Worm-shaped sticks that sink slowly

Hikari has deliberately given Vibra Bites an elongated, worm-like shape. The regular Vibra Bites have a length of approximately 6 mm and are therefore suitable for many small and medium-sized tropical fish.

The sticks sink slowly and move irregularly through the water column. Due to the current in the aquarium, they can move as if they were small worms.

This is not only attractive to the fish, but also ensures that the food is available to fish feeding at different levels in the aquarium during its descent.

Alternative to live food

Many tropical aquarium fish naturally eat small aquatic animals, insect larvae, and worms. Live food can therefore be very attractive, but also brings practical disadvantages.

Hikari developed Vibra Bites as a complete and balanced alternative to live food. The food mimics the shape and movement of red mosquito larvae, but is produced as dry food.

This means that Vibra Bites offers a controlled nutritional composition without the possible introduction of parasites or unwanted bacteria that can come with live food.

With krill, mealworms, and silkworm pupae

For good acceptance, Hikari uses various animal ingredients. The composition contains, among others, fish meal, krill meal, squid meal, fish oil, ground silkworm pupae, and mealworms.

In addition, the food contains wheat, corn, brewer's yeast, wheat germ, and various vitamins and minerals.

The combination was developed as a complete daily food, so that Vibra Bites does not exclusively need to be used as a snack or supplementary food.

Supports beautiful natural color

Vibra Bites contains specially selected ingredients that support the natural colors of aquarium fish. An important part of this is astaxanthin, a carotenoid that is widely used in high-quality foods for ornamental fish.

In combination with the other nutrients, the composition helps to bring out the natural pigmentation of the fish to its best effect.

This makes Vibra Bites interesting for colorful tropical species where red, orange, and other color shades play an important role.

High protein content

Hikari Vibra Bites contains at least 46% crude protein and at least 7% crude fat. This means the food offers a concentrated amount of nutrients for tropical aquarium fish.

The guaranteed analysis is:

• Crude protein: minimum 46%
• Crude fat: minimum 7%
• Crude fiber: maximum 5%
• Moisture: maximum 10%
• Crude ash: maximum 13%
• Phosphorus: minimum 1%

Due to this balanced composition, Vibra Bites can be used as a daily main food for suitable tropical fish species.

For various tropical aquarium fish

The regular Vibra Bites was developed for small to medium-sized tropical fish. Hikari lists discus fish, tetras, gouramis, and moonfish as suitable species, among others.

Other tropical aquarium fish that like to eat live or worm-like food can also accept Vibra Bites well.

For very small fish, there is also Vibra Bites Baby with smaller sticks. For larger tropical fish, Hikari has developed Vibra Bites XL. The regular Vibra Bites 280g is in between these two variants in size and has sticks of approximately 6 mm.

How do you feed Hikari Vibra Bites?

Feed Vibra Bites two to three times a day. Give only as much per feeding as the fish can completely eat within a few minutes.

Because the sticks sink slowly through the aquarium, you can clearly see which fish come actively to eat during feeding. This makes it easier to adjust the amount to the stocking of the aquarium.

Avoid overfeeding. Food that remains for a longer time can break apart and unnecessarily burden the water quality. Therefore, remove uneaten food after the feeding.

Complete daily food

Vibra Bites can be used as a daily food and therefore does not exclusively need to be given as a treat alongside another main food.

The combination of animal protein sources, fats, vitamins, minerals, and color-supporting ingredients makes it a complete food for suitable tropical aquarium fish.

The attractive worm shape can also be useful for fish that traditionally find dry food less interesting and clearly react to moving food.

Contents of 280 grams

This version contains 280 grams of Hikari Vibra Bites. This is the largest regular package of the standard Vibra Bites. The same regular stick is also available in smaller packages of 35 and 73 grams.

For aquariums in which Vibra Bites is regularly used as a main food, the 280-gram package is a practical choice.

Close the package well after use and store the food in a cool, dry place so that the quality of the food is preserved as well as possible.
