This copper electrode replacement set is designed for the Blue Lagoon Copper Electrolyzer and ensures effective and controlled water disinfection. The electrolyzer is placed in the piping system before returning to the (swimming) pond. During flow, the copper unit releases a precise amount of copper ions (Cu²⁺).
These positively charged ions disrupt the cell wall of algae, bacteria, viruses, and other primitive organisms, blocking reproduction. This process—copper electrolysis—ensures clear and hygienic water with minimal chemical load.
The unit automatically switches off after two weeks to prevent overdosing. By testing the copper level and reactivating the unit if necessary, the dosage remains manageable and safe. Note: excessive copper can be harmful to fish. Do not use in iron-containing water (such as groundwater). Connection size: 50 mm.
