Pond Skim 3000 - SuperFish is a floating pond skimmer that automatically removes debris from the water surface. Suitable for ponds up to 40 m²

SuperFish recommends the Pond Skim 3000 for ponds with a water surface area of up to 40 m².

Please note that SuperFish indicates the capacity based on the water surface area in square meters and not on the basis of the total pond volume in cubic meters. A pond of 40 m² can differ greatly in total water volume depending on its depth.

For the operation of a surface skimmer, the surface is particularly relevant, because the Pond Skim removes debris from the top layer of water.

The final operation can also be influenced by the shape of the pond, the position of the skimmer, wind direction, and the existing water flow.

Floating construction

The Pond Skim 3000 is a floating pond skimmer. This means the skimmer does not need to be permanently built into a pond wall.

This makes it particularly practical for existing ponds. If no skimmer was installed during construction, you can still add surface skimming with the Pond Skim 3000 without having to open the pond wall.

The floating construction also has the advantage that the skimmer moves with the water surface. This keeps the inlet at the correct height relative to the water when the water level changes slightly.

Removable waste basket for easy maintenance

The sucked-in surface debris is collected in a removable waste basket. This makes daily maintenance easy.

When the basket becomes filled with leaves and other debris, you remove it from the Pond Skim and clean it. After that, the basket can be replaced, and the skimmer is ready for use again.

How often this is necessary depends heavily on the surroundings. If the pond is located under or near trees, for example, the waste basket can fill up considerably faster during the autumn.

It is wise to check the skimmer regularly. A full waste basket restricts water flow and therefore ultimately also the operation of the skimmer.

Extra filtration with sponge

In addition to collecting coarser debris, the Pond Skim 3000 can use a filter sponge. This allows smaller dirt particles to also be collected from the sucked-in water.

The sponge must be checked and cleaned regularly to maintain good water flow.

For the Pond Skim 2000 and Pond Skim 3000, a separate replacement sponge is also available. This allows a worn or damaged sponge to be replaced without having to replace the entire skimmer.

When trees lose their leaves, a large amount of organic material can end up on the pond surface in a short time. Without a skimmer, this must be removed manually regularly to prevent the leaves from sinking to the bottom.

The Pond Skim 3000 automatically collects this floating material. You then mainly need to empty the waste basket regularly.

Outside of autumn, the skimmer also removes dust, small insects, pollen, and floating algae residue.

No replacement for the pond filter
