Koi Flow 30 - SuperFish

The Koi Flow 30 - SuperFish is a powerful air pump specially developed for aerating larger ponds and koi ponds. The pump delivers a maximum of 1,800 liters of air per hour, or 30 liters per minute. This means the Koi Flow 30 offers significantly more capacity than smaller pond aeration pumps and is suitable for situations where a constant and powerful air supply is desired.

In addition to its high air capacity, the pump is relatively energy-efficient. Its power consumption is only 25 watts. The robust construction also ensures quiet operation. This makes the Koi Flow 30 ideal for long-term aeration of both the pond and a biological pond filter.

This is the standalone Koi Flow 30 air pump. Air hose and air stones are not included with this version. This allows you to assemble an aeration system yourself that suits the size and layout of your pond.

1,800 liters of air per hour

The Koi Flow 30 delivers a maximum of 1,800 liters of air per hour. This equates to a maximum air output of 30 liters per minute.

The pump delivers a pressure of 0.025 MPa. This allows the air to be directed through a suitable air hose to one or more air stones.

The final amount of air that actually comes out of the air stones depends on the installation. Factors such as the depth of the air stones, the length and diameter of the air hoses, and the resistance of the air stones used play a role in this.

Developed for larger ponds and koi ponds

In larger ponds and especially koi ponds, a powerful air pump can be an important addition to the pond installation.

Fish constantly use oxygen. In addition, the beneficial bacteria in the biological filter system also need oxygen to process waste products.

The Koi Flow 30 provides sufficient air capacity to distribute aeration across multiple points. This allows you to aerate different parts of the pond or create a combination of pond and filter aeration.

Supports gas exchange

The connected air stones disperse small air bubbles in the water. These rise to the water surface, bringing the surrounding pond water into motion.

This water movement supports gas exchange at the water surface. Oxygen can be absorbed from the outside air, while other gases can escape from the pond water.

Aeration is therefore a useful addition to the normal circulation created by a pond pump and filter system.

Extra important during warm summer days

During warm summer periods, good pond aeration becomes even more important. As the water temperature rises, the water can contain less dissolved oxygen.

At the same time, fish become more active and biological processes occur more quickly. This can actually increase the oxygen requirement.

With a capacity of 1,800 liters of air per hour, the Koi Flow 30 can provide a lot of extra water movement. By using multiple air stones in strategic locations, the aeration can be distributed across the pond.

Ideal for aerating the pond filter

The Koi Flow 30 can also be used to aerate a suitable biological pond filter.

Beneficial filter bacteria need oxygen for the biological conversion of waste products. Especially with filter systems specially designed for intensive biological filtration, extra air can therefore be important.

With a suitable air distributor, the capacity of the Koi Flow 30 can be distributed over multiple connections. For example, several air stones can be placed in the filter and others directly in the pond.

Energy-efficient with 25 watts

Despite the high air output, the Koi Flow 30 has a power consumption of only 25 watts.

This is especially interesting because pond aeration is often used for long periods. In koi ponds and intensively used biological filters, the air pump can even run continuously.

The combination of high air capacity and relatively low power consumption makes the Koi Flow 30 suitable for such applications.

Robust and quiet construction

SuperFish has equipped the Koi Flow series with a robust construction. This design ensures that the air pump produces relatively little noise.

For the quietest possible operation, it is important to place the pump on a flat and sturdy surface. A loose board, hollow filter box, or other resonance-prone surface can amplify vibrations.

In addition, ensure there is enough free space around the air pump so that heat can be dissipated properly and the air intake remains unobstructed.

Splash-proof IPX4

The Koi Flow 30 has an IPX4 rating and is therefore protected against splashing water. This makes the pump suitable for placement near the pond, provided it is set up correctly.

The air pump must not be submerged and must be installed in a suitable location. Ensure that the pump cannot end up in a puddle of water and prevent it from being unnecessarily exposed to large amounts of water.

The Koi Flow series is also TÜV-certified.

Compact size

The Koi Flow 30 measures approximately 24.5 x 20.2 x 20.5 cm. This allows the pump to deliver a considerable amount of air without taking up much space.

The electrical cable is 1.87 meters long. Keep this in mind when determining the location of the pump and the available power supply.

Assemble the aeration system yourself

This standalone Koi Flow 30 does not include an air hose or air stones. This offers flexibility when you want to determine yourself how the aeration is set up.

With a suitable air distributor, you can distribute the outlet over several air hoses, for example. Then different air stones can be used to add air in multiple locations.

SuperFish also offers the Koi Flow 30 as a complete kit version. This version is supplied with several XXL air stones and air hose. The standalone Koi Flow 30 is especially interesting if you already have these components or want to assemble a specific installation yourself.

Also usable during winter

The Koi Flow 30 can be used throughout the year.

During winter, the water movement from an air stone can help keep an existing hole in the ice open. This allows gas exchange between the pond water and the outside air to continue.

Do not place the air stones at the deepest point of the pond during cold winter periods. At the bottom, the water is relatively warmer in winter. Intensive aeration from the bottom can mix this layer of water with the colder surface water.

A higher placement of the air stones is therefore more sensible during winter.

Maintenance of the Koi Flow 30

For reliable operation, it is important to regularly check the entire aeration system.

Pay particular attention to the air stones. Limescale, dirt, and other deposits can gradually clog them. This increases resistance and can reduce the amount of air.

In addition, check the air hoses for kinks, damage, and blockages.

The membranes in an air pump are also subject to wear and tear. When the air output clearly decreases over time while the air hoses and air stones are clean, the membranes may need to be replaced.

Powerful aeration with low energy consumption

The Koi Flow 30 - SuperFish is an excellent choice when a standard pond air pump does not offer sufficient capacity. With a maximum of 1,800 liters of air per hour, the pump has sufficient power for larger ponds, koi ponds, and various biological filter systems.
