The Smart Heater 55 Watt - SuperFish is a compact digital aquarium heater specially designed for small aquariums and nano aquariums up to 30 liters. Heater and thermometer in one

A practical advantage of the SuperFish Smart Heater is its 2-in-1 function.

The heater not only heats the aquarium water but also measures the water temperature. The measured temperature is displayed digitally on the device.

This allows you to quickly check how warm the water is during daily aquarium maintenance. You do not need to read a separate analog thermometer every time.

Meanwhile, the built-in thermostat monitors the temperature and controls the heating element based on the selected setting.

Temperature adjustable from 18 to 34°C

The temperature of this 55-watt version can be set between 18 and 34°C.

This allows the heater to be adjusted for various types of tropical fish, shrimp, and other aquarium inhabitants. The suitable temperature always depends on the animals kept in the aquarium.

After setting, the thermostat automatically regulates the heating. When the water needs to be heated, the heating element switches on.

This means you do not need to constantly switch the Smart Heater on and off manually during normal use.

Easy operation via the power cord

The desired temperature is set using a click switch in the power cord.

This is especially practical for a small aquarium. You do not need to remove the heater from the water or reach into the aquarium to access a dial on top of the heater.

Using the switch, you select the desired temperature. This value is displayed on the digital display while setting.

After a few seconds, the display reverts to the measured water temperature.

Placement in the aquarium

The Smart Heater 55 Watt is an underwater heater and must be placed correctly in the aquarium during use.

SuperFish recommends installing the heater in a vertical position. Place the device at least approximately 10 cm below the water surface.

Ensure that the heater is placed where there is sufficient water circulation. Flowing water helps distribute the heat produced throughout the aquarium.

A position near the aquarium filter outlet can therefore be practical, as long as the heater can be mounted correctly and safely.

55-watt heating capacity

With a power of 55 watts, this compact heater has a relatively high heating capacity for its size.

Despite this, the device is specifically intended for small aquariums up to 30 liters.

Keep in mind that the required heating capacity is not determined solely by the number of liters. The ambient temperature and the desired water temperature also play an important role.

An aquarium kept in a cold room, for example, requires more heating than the same aquarium in a heated living room.

Suitable for tropical nano aquariums

The Smart Heater 55 Watt is particularly well suited to a small tropical aquarium where the water temperature must be kept above normal room temperature.

Think, for example, of a small aquarium with tropical fish or shrimp that require a specific temperature.

Before setting, always check which temperature is suitable for the animals you keep. Not every species of fish or shrimp has the same temperature requirements.

Maintenance and inspection

As with other aquarium equipment, it is advisable to inspect the Smart Heater regularly.

Over time, algae, dirt, or limescale can accumulate on the device. Carefully remove this buildup if necessary.

Always unplug the device from the socket before cleaning or performing maintenance. Then allow the device to cool down sufficiently before removing it from the aquarium.

During maintenance, also inspect the housing and power cable. Do not use electrical aquarium equipment when the cable or housing is damaged.
