The Smart Heater 100 Watt - SuperFish combines an aquarium heater and digital thermometer in one compact device. The heater heats the aquarium water to the set temperature and simultaneously displays the current water temperature on the digital display. This means you do not always need to use a separate thermometer to check the temperature of the aquarium.

With a power of 100 watts, this version is suitable for aquaria from 30 to 75 liters, according to SuperFish. The temperature can be set between 17 and 34°C, making the heater suitable for a variety of freshwater aquaria in which a stable water temperature is important.

The Smart Heater is only 27 cm long and is made of 2 mm quartz safety glass. Around the glass is a plastic protective structure. After setting, the integrated thermostat continuously measures the temperature of the water. When heating is needed, the heating element switches on to bring the water to the set temperature.

This means you do not always have to manually switch the heater on and off.

The Smart Heater 100 Watt is specified by SuperFish for aquaria with a volume of 30 to 75 liters.

This range is important when choosing the right version. A heater must have enough power to keep the aquarium water at temperature, but at the same time fit the volume of the aquarium.

Compact design of 27 cm

Despite the power of 100 watts, the Smart Heater has a length of only 27 centimeters.

The compact design makes it easier to neatly place the heater in the aquarium. For an even heat distribution, it is advisable to install the heater in a place with sufficient water circulation.

A position near the outlet of the aquarium filter can, for example, help to distribute the heated water through the aquarium.

When placing, ensure that the heater is installed according to the indicated minimum water depth.

2 mm quartz safety glass

The heater is made with 2 mm quartz safety glass. Around the glass heating element, there is also a plastic protector.

This construction protects the glass part and reduces the chance of direct contact between aquarium inhabitants or decorative materials and the heated glass.

It remains important to handle an aquarium heater carefully. Especially when removing it from or placing it back in the aquarium, it must be prevented from hitting the glass with hard objects.

Easy to set with external switch

The Smart Heater has a switch/sensor with which the desired temperature can be set.

This means you do not always have to reach deep into the aquarium with your hands for a temperature change. With the control, you set the desired temperature within the range of 17 to 34°C.

After setting, the display switches back to the current water temperature. You can therefore easily check what the measured temperature is at that moment.

Correct installation

For proper operation, correct installation is important.

First place the Smart Heater in the aquarium. SuperFish recommends that you then wait approximately 5 minutes before plugging the plug into the socket. This gives the thermostat time to adapt to the temperature of the aquarium water.

After this waiting time, the heater can be switched on and the desired temperature can be set.

On the heater is indicated what the minimum placement depth is. The maximum operating depth is 80 cm.

In addition, always ensure that the socket and the electrical connection cannot come into contact with water or water splashes.

Also be careful when switching off

An aquarium heater can become warm during use. Therefore, do not pull a warm heater directly out of the aquarium after switching it off.

First switch off the heater and give the device enough time to cool down in the aquarium water before removing it for maintenance or moving the decoration.

This reduces the chance of large temperature differences for the glass.

Regular cleaning

During use, algae, dirt and limescale can accumulate on the glass of the Smart Heater.

SuperFish therefore advises to clean the heater regularly. A sponge and suitable descaling agent can be used for this.

After cleaning, the heater must be thoroughly rinsed with clean tap water before being placed back in the aquarium.

A clean heater also makes it easier to regularly check the condition of the glass and the plastic protective structure.
