The PL Replacement Lamp 18W 2G11 is a UV-C lamp used in medium-sized UV units for pond water purification. This lamp generates a higher UV output than the more compact PL models and is therefore suitable for systems with a higher flow rate. The UV radiation helps reduce suspended algae, bacteria, and microorganisms, helping to maintain clear pond water.

The 2G11 socket differs from the standard G23 socket and is used in UV units designed for longer PL lamps with a higher wattage class. Annual replacement of the lamp is recommended to maintain UV efficiency, even when the lamp is still lit.

This lamp is intended as a direct replacement for UV units that specifically use an 18W PL lamp with a 2G11 connection.
