Antifreeze 1L - HRS

The HRS Winterizing Liquid 1L is developed for maintaining pool water during the winter months. The product helps to counteract algae growth and limescale during a longer period of stagnation. This makes it easier to restart the pool in the spring.

Protection during the winter

When a pool is not or barely used during the winter, the water can become contaminated and algae and deposits can form. HRS Winterizing Liquid is intended to support the pool water during this period and helps to counteract calcification and the petrification of impure particles.

Preparing your pool for winter

For a good winter treatment, first remove leaves and other debris from the pool. Then, the product information advises to perform a chlorine shock. Wait about 24 hours before adding the winterizing liquid. After adding, let the pool pump run for a few hours so that the product is evenly distributed through the pool water.

Dosage

For the 1-liter package, various dosage guidelines are mentioned online. An up-to-date HRS sales page mentions up to 1 liter per 40 m³, while another specialized retailer lists 1 liter per 10 m³. Due to this difference, we advise to follow the dosage on the current packaging.

Easier startup in the spring

By properly preparing the pool for winter, you limit contamination and deposits during the months in which the pool is not used. This can ensure that less cleaning and maintenance work is needed at the start of the new swimming season.
