Aquaclear UV 18W service kit - SuperFish

The AquaClear UV 18W Service Kit - SuperFish is a maintenance set with replacement parts for the SuperFish AquaClear UV 18W. The set is intended for maintaining and replacing parts around the quartz glass and the seal of the UV-C unit.

A UV-C device is continuously in contact with pond water. As a result, parts such as seals and the quartz glass can become dirty, worn, or damaged over time. With a suitable service kit, these parts can be replaced without having to replace the entire AquaClear UV unit immediately.

Specially for the AquaClear UV 18W

This service kit was developed for the SuperFish AquaClear UV 18W. When ordering spare parts, it is important to always check the wattage and version of the existing UV-C unit.

SuperFish has different AquaClear UV versions with different wattages. Parts from these versions are not automatically interchangeable. Therefore, check before purchase whether you actually have the AquaClear UV 18W.

For maintenance of the UV-C unit

During use, pond water flows along the quartz glass of the AquaClear UV. The quartz glass forms the barrier between the UV-C lamp and the pond water and must therefore remain clean and undamaged.

Limescale deposits and dirt on the quartz glass can reduce the transmission of UV-C radiation. It is therefore advisable to check the quartz glass during periodic maintenance and clean it carefully.

During the same maintenance, also check the seals and other parts around the quartz glass. If the parts are dried out, deformed, damaged, or worn, they can be replaced with the parts from the suitable service kit.

Convenient for periodic maintenance

A good time to check the AquaClear UV is at the start of the season or when the UV-C lamp is replaced. The unit can then be opened, allowing the quartz glass and seals to be checked at the same time.

Clean limescale deposits on the quartz glass carefully and prevent scratches or damage. A damaged quartz glass must be replaced before the UV-C unit is put back into use.

When replacing the seals, it is important that they are clean and correctly positioned. A misplaced or damaged seal can cause leakage.

Working safely on the UV-C unit

Before maintenance, always completely switch off the pond pump and the AquaClear UV and remove the plugs from the socket. Make sure the UV-C unit is depressurized and empty before opening it.

A UV-C lamp must never be switched on outside the closed housing. UV-C radiation is harmful to eyes and skin.

After performing maintenance, first carefully check whether all parts and seals are correctly installed. Then check the installation for leaks before the UV-C unit is used normally again.

This AquaClear UV 18W Service Kit is intended for the maintenance of the unit and is not a complete AquaClear UV-C. A new 18W UV-C lamp is not part of this service kit and must be ordered separately when replacement is necessary.
