The Smart Heater 55 Watt - SuperFish is a compact digital aquarium heater specially designed for small aquariums and nano aquariums up to 30 liters. The device combines a 55-watt heating element and digital thermometer in one, allowing you to heat the aquarium water and monitor the current temperature with a single compact device.
The Smart Heater 55 Watt stands out from the larger Smart Heaters due to its compact, oval shape. With dimensions of approximately 9 x 7 x 3.5 cm, the heater takes up very little space. This makes it easy to place in a small aquarium where every centimeter counts.
The temperature can be set between 18 and 34°C. Using the click switch in the power cord, you can easily select the desired temperature. After setting, the digital display reverts to the current water temperature. This gives you instant visibility of the temperature in the aquarium at all times.
Specially designed for small aquariums
The Smart Heater 55 Watt is intended for aquariums up to 30 liters. This makes this version particularly suitable for small tropical aquariums and nano aquariums where a compact heating solution is desired.
In small aquariums, a traditional rod heater can take up a relatively large amount of space. SuperFish has therefore given this 55-watt Smart Heater a distinctive, compact oval shape.
With dimensions of approximately 9 x 7 x 3.5 cm, the heater can easily be placed against an aquarium wall and hidden behind plants or decorations, for example.
The maximum aquarium volume of 30 liters is SuperFish's current recommendation. Older documentation may still list different volumes for this model, but for current applications, we recommend a maximum of 30 liters.
Heater and thermometer in one
A practical advantage of the SuperFish Smart Heater is its 2-in-1 function.
The heater not only heats the aquarium water but also measures the water temperature. The measured temperature is displayed digitally on the device.
This allows you to quickly check how warm the water is during daily aquarium maintenance. You do not need to read a separate analog thermometer every time.
Meanwhile, the built-in thermostat monitors the temperature and controls the heating element based on the selected setting.
Temperature adjustable from 18 to 34°C
The temperature of this 55-watt version can be set between 18 and 34°C.
This allows the heater to be adjusted for various types of tropical fish, shrimp, and other aquarium inhabitants. The suitable temperature always depends on the animals kept in the aquarium.
After setting, the thermostat automatically regulates the heating. When the water needs to be heated, the heating element switches on.
This means you do not need to constantly switch the Smart Heater on and off manually during normal use.
Easy operation via the power cord
The desired temperature is set using a click switch in the power cord.
This is especially practical for a small aquarium. You do not need to remove the heater from the water or reach into the aquarium to access a dial on top of the heater.
Using the switch, you select the desired temperature. This value is displayed on the digital display while setting.
After a few seconds, the display reverts to the measured water temperature.
Digital display with current temperature
The front of the Smart Heater features a clear digital temperature display.
During normal use, the current water temperature is displayed here. This allows you to quickly check whether the aquarium is at the desired temperature.
The combination of temperature setting and current temperature display is a major difference from simple aquarium heaters that only have a thermostat knob.
For a small tropical aquarium, you thus get heating and temperature control in one compact device.
Compact oval shape
The Smart Heater 55 Watt has a distinctive oval shape. SuperFish specifically designed this model to be compact to make installation in small aquariums easier.
The dimensions are approximately:
Height: 9 cm
Width: 7 cm
Thickness: 3.5 cm
Due to these compact dimensions, the heater is considerably shorter than many traditional rod heaters.
This makes it particularly interesting for nano aquariums where a long glass heater is difficult to place or hide.
Placement in the aquarium
The Smart Heater 55 Watt is an underwater heater and must be placed correctly in the aquarium during use.
SuperFish recommends installing the heater in a vertical position. Place the device at least approximately 10 cm below the water surface.
Ensure that the heater is placed where there is sufficient water circulation. Flowing water helps distribute the heat produced throughout the aquarium.
A position near the aquarium filter outlet can therefore be practical, as long as the heater can be mounted correctly and safely.
55-watt heating capacity
With a power of 55 watts, this compact heater has a relatively high heating capacity for its size.
Despite this, the device is specifically intended for small aquariums up to 30 liters.
Keep in mind that the required heating capacity is not determined solely by the number of liters. The ambient temperature and the desired water temperature also play an important role.
An aquarium kept in a cold room, for example, requires more heating than the same aquarium in a heated living room.
Suitable for tropical nano aquariums
The Smart Heater 55 Watt is particularly well suited to a small tropical aquarium where the water temperature must be kept above normal room temperature.
Think, for example, of a small aquarium with tropical fish or shrimp that require a specific temperature.
Before setting, always check which temperature is suitable for the animals you keep. Not every species of fish or shrimp has the same temperature requirements.
Thanks to the wide setting range of 18 to 34°C, the heater can be set for various applications.
Maintenance and inspection
As with other aquarium equipment, it is advisable to inspect the Smart Heater regularly.
Over time, algae, dirt, or limescale can accumulate on the device. Carefully remove this buildup if necessary.
Always unplug the device from the socket before cleaning or performing maintenance. Then allow the device to cool down sufficiently before removing it from the aquarium.
During maintenance, also inspect the housing and power cable. Do not use electrical aquarium equipment when the cable or housing is damaged.
Ideal when space is limited
The biggest difference between the Smart Heater 55 Watt and the more powerful Smart Heater models is not only the power. The design is also clearly different.
While the larger Smart Heaters have an elongated rod design, this 55-watt version is very compact and oval-shaped. This makes it particularly interesting for aquariums where little space is available.
With its 55-watt power, compact dimensions, digital temperature display, integrated thermometer, and easy operation via the power cord, the SuperFish Smart Heater 55 Watt offers a complete heating solution for aquariums up to 30 liters.

€37,49
The Smart Heater 500 Watt - SuperFish is a powerful digital aquarium heater for larger aquariums. This smart heater combines aquarium heating and a digital thermometer in one device, allowing you to set the desired temperature and directly read the current water temperature.
With a power of 500 watts, this version is suitable for aquariums up to 350 liters, according to SuperFish. The built-in thermostat is adjustable between 17 and 34°C and ensures that the heating element is automatically controlled to maintain the set temperature.
Despite its high power, the Smart Heater is only 30 cm long. This keeps the heater relatively compact and makes it easy to hide among plants or behind decorative materials in larger aquariums. The heating element is made of 2 mm quartz safety glass and is protected by a plastic housing.
For aquariums up to 350 liters
The Smart Heater 500 Watt is the most powerful version in this SuperFish Smart Heater series and was developed for aquariums up to 350 liters.
This makes this version particularly suitable for larger tropical aquariums that require a considerable heating capacity.
When determining the required heating capacity, the aquarium volume is not the only important factor. The difference between the ambient temperature and the desired water temperature also has an effect.
For example, if an aquarium is in a relatively cool room and the water needs to be kept significantly warmer, the heater must provide more heat than the same aquarium in a warm living room.
Heating and thermometer in one
An important advantage of the Smart Heater is its 2-in-1 function.
The heater heats the aquarium water and measures the current water temperature. This means that a separate aquarium thermometer is not necessary for daily temperature monitoring.
You can easily read the measured temperature on the digital display. When you set a new temperature, the selected value is displayed. The display then switches back to the current temperature of the aquarium water.
This allows you to see at a glance how warm the water actually is.
Temperature adjustable from 17 to 34°C
The SuperFish Smart Heater features a sensitive digital thermostat with an adjustable range of 17 to 34°C.
This allows the temperature to be adjusted to the needs of the fish, shrimp, and other aquarium inhabitants. The suitable temperature varies depending on the species and aquarium.
Once the desired temperature is set, the thermostat automatically regulates the heating process. When the water becomes cooler than desired, the heating element is activated. As soon as the correct temperature is reached, the heating is regulated again.
This helps prevent large temperature fluctuations in the aquarium.
Operation outside the aquarium
The temperature control features a practical click switch in the power cable.
This control is located outside the aquarium. This means you do not need to put your hands in the water or remove the heater when you want to adjust the set temperature.
With the click switch, you select the desired temperature. This setting appears on the heater's display. The current water temperature is then displayed again.
This makes it easy to adjust and monitor the temperature.
Digital display for temperature monitoring
The Smart Heater features a digital display.
The display shows both operating information and the temperature. This means you do not have to read a small analog scale as with many traditional aquarium heaters.
The current water temperature is immediately visible. This is especially useful for regularly checking that the temperature matches what is desired for the aquarium inhabitants.
Compact length of 30 cm
A striking feature of this 500-watt version is its relatively compact size.
The heater is only 30 cm long. The 100, 200 and 300-watt versions in the same series are 27 cm long, which means SuperFish has also kept the size limited for the powerful 500-watt version.
This makes it easier to place the heater neatly in the aquarium.
For good heat distribution, it is advisable to install the heater in a location with sufficient water circulation. For example, near the outlet of an aquarium filter, the heated water can be spread more quickly through the aquarium.
2 mm quartz safety glass
The heating element is made of 2 mm quartz safety glass.
Around this glass is a plastic protector. This protective construction reduces the chance of fish, decorative materials, or other objects coming into direct contact with the hot glass part.
The protector also helps protect the glass element from bumps during normal use.
It remains important to handle the heater carefully. Especially when placing, removing, and cleaning, it must be prevented from the glass part coming into hard contact with stones or other decorative materials.
Long connection cable
SuperFish has equipped the Smart Heater with a long connection cable for flexible installation.
The cable has a length of approximately 1.5 meters. This provides enough space to place the heater in a suitable position in the aquarium and keep the connection outside the aquarium.
Make sure that the electrical connection and the socket always remain dry.
Placement in the aquarium
Correct placement is important for the proper operation of the Smart Heater.
Install the heater in a position where sufficient water can circulate around the device. This allows the produced heat to be spread better through the aquarium.
Place the heater in the aquarium before connecting the plug. Give the device a few minutes to adjust to the water temperature before switching it on.
During use, make sure that the heating element remains sufficiently underwater and follow the markings and instructions on the device.
Switching off and removing
An aquarium heater becomes hot during use. Therefore, never remove the Smart Heater directly from the aquarium while it is still switched on or hot.
First pull the plug from the socket and let the heater cool down in the aquarium water before removing it.
This is especially important because of the glass heating element. By letting the heater cool down slowly, you prevent a sudden large temperature difference.
Maintenance and cleaning
During normal use, algae, dirt, and limescale can accumulate on the heater.
Therefore, check the device regularly and clean it if necessary. Switch off the heater completely before cleaning and let it cool down first.
During maintenance, immediately check the condition of the quartz safety glass, the plastic protector, and the power cable. Do not use an electric aquarium heater when the glass or cable is visibly damaged.
After cleaning, the heater can be placed back in the aquarium.
Powerful heating for larger aquariums
With its power of 500 watts, this Smart Heater is especially interesting for larger aquariums in which the lighter versions in the series offer insufficient capacity.
The combination of a built-in thermometer, digital temperature display, and external operation also makes the system easy to use.
With a maximum aquarium volume of 350 liters, a length of only 30 cm, and an adjustable temperature range of 17 to 34°C, the SuperFish Smart Heater 500 Watt offers a complete solution for heating and monitoring the temperature in larger aquariums.

The Smart Heater 300 Watt - SuperFish is a powerful digital aquarium heater that combines heating and temperature measurement in one compact device. With a power of 300 watts, this version is suitable for aquariums up to 200 liters. Thanks to the built-in thermostat and thermometer, the aquarium water is automatically kept at the set temperature, while you can directly see the current water temperature on the digital display.
The desired temperature can be set between 17 and 34°C. This allows the heater to be adjusted for a variety of tropical fish, shrimp, and other aquarium inhabitants that depend on a stable water temperature.
Despite its 300-watt power, the Smart Heater is only 27 cm long. This means the heater takes up relatively little space in the aquarium and can be easily hidden from view among plants or behind decorations, as long as there is sufficient water circulation around the device.
Suitable for aquariums up to 200 liters
SuperFish specifies the Smart Heater 300 Watt for aquariums up to a maximum of 200 liters. This makes it one of the more powerful versions in the Smart Heater series.
The series consists of different power levels for various aquarium sizes. The 300-watt version combines a relatively high heating capacity with the same compact length of 27 cm as the 100 and 200-watt models.
How much heating capacity an aquarium actually needs depends not only on its volume. The ambient temperature and the desired water temperature also play a role. For example, an aquarium in a relatively cold room needs more heating capacity than the same aquarium in a warm living room.
Heating and thermometer in one
The Smart Heater has a practical 2-in-1 function. The device is both an aquarium heater and a digital thermometer.
This means you do not have to rely solely on the temperature you have set on the thermostat. On the digital display, you can also see what temperature the heater actually measures in the aquarium.
After setting the desired temperature, the display reverts to the current water temperature. This allows you to easily check whether the aquarium water has reached the desired temperature.
This makes checking the temperature daily much easier.
Temperature adjustable from 17 to 34°C
The integrated thermostat has a setting range of 17 to 34°C.
This means the Smart Heater can be used for many different types of aquariums. The temperature you set depends on the fish and other animals you keep. Therefore, always check which water temperature is suitable for your specific aquarium inhabitants.
The sensitive thermostat continuously measures the water temperature. When the temperature falls below the set value, the device heats the water. As soon as the desired temperature is reached, the thermostat automatically regulates the heating element.
This means you do not need to manually switch the heater on and off during normal use.
Temperature easily set via the power cord
A convenient feature of the SuperFish Smart Heater is the click switch in the power cable.
This allows the desired water temperature to be set without having to remove the heater from the aquarium. The controls are located outside the aquarium, making it easy to adjust the temperature.
After selecting the desired setting, the heater display shows the current water temperature again.
This is especially practical when you want to temporarily adjust the temperature or when the aquarium needs to be set to a different temperature.
Digital display
The top of the Smart Heater features a clear digital display.
The temperature is displayed digitally. This means you do not have to read small markings on a traditional dial.
The display is used when setting the desired temperature and then shows the current temperature of the aquarium water.
The combination of a digital display and built-in thermometer makes it easier to quickly notice any deviations in the water temperature.
Compact design of only 27 cm
The Smart Heater 300 Watt is only 27 cm long.
This is relatively compact for an aquarium heater with a power of 300 watts. This makes the heater easier to place in medium-sized aquariums without taking up unnecessary space.
For an even distribution of heat, it is advisable to install the heater in a place with sufficient water flow. Placing it near the outlet of an aquarium filter can help distribute the heated water throughout the aquarium.
2 mm quartz safety glass
The heating element is made of 2 mm quartz safety glass and equipped with a plastic protective guard.
The plastic guard surrounds the glass part and helps protect the heating element from direct contact with fish, decorative materials, and other objects in the aquarium.
Although the heater is protected, it is still important to handle the glass heating element carefully. For example, do not let the device strike rocks or other hard decorative materials during installation or removal.
Use completely underwater
The Smart Heater is intended for use underwater in the aquarium.
During installation, the heater must be submerged at least to the indicated water level. The maximum operating depth is 80 cm.
Never leave an aquarium heater switched on when it is outside the water. The heating element can become extremely hot very quickly.
Therefore, place the heater correctly in the aquarium before connecting the plug.
Correct installation and removal
After placing the heater, it is advisable to leave the device in the aquarium water for a few minutes before connecting the plug. This allows the material to adjust to the water temperature.
Care must also be taken when removing it.
First switch off the heater by removing the plug from the socket and then allow the device to cool down in the aquarium water. The manual recommends waiting approximately 15 minutes.
Only then can the heater be safely removed from the aquarium.
This prevents large and sudden temperature differences in the glass.
Maintenance of the Smart Heater
During normal use, dirt, algae, and limescale can accumulate on the heater.
Therefore, check and clean the heater regularly. Deposits on the glass part, in particular, can form an insulating layer over time.
Always switch off the device before cleaning and allow it to cool down completely first.
While cleaning, immediately check whether the quartz safety glass, plastic guard, cable, and other parts are still undamaged. Do not use the heater if the glass or electrical cable is damaged.
For a stable temperature in the aquarium
A stable water temperature is important for many tropical aquarium fish. Large or rapid temperature fluctuations can be detrimental to fish and other aquarium inhabitants.
The Smart Heater therefore combines a heating element, thermostat, and digital thermometer in one device.
With a power of 300 watts, a length of only 27 cm, a setting range of 17 to 34°C, and a capacity for aquariums up to 200 liters, this version is a practical choice for medium-sized aquariums in which a controlled and easily readable water temperature is desired.

The Smart Heater 100 Watt - SuperFish combines an aquarium heater and digital thermometer in one compact device. The heater heats the aquarium water to the set temperature and simultaneously displays the current water temperature on the digital display. This means you do not always need to use a separate thermometer to check the temperature of the aquarium.
With a power of 100 watts, this version is suitable for aquaria from 30 to 75 liters, according to SuperFish. The temperature can be set between 17 and 34°C, making the heater suitable for a variety of freshwater aquaria in which a stable water temperature is important.
The Smart Heater is only 27 cm long and is made of 2 mm quartz safety glass. Around the glass is a plastic protective structure. The combination of the compact design, the digital temperature control and built-in thermometer makes this a practical solution for heating and monitoring smaller to medium-sized aquaria.
Heater and thermometer in one
An important advantage of the SuperFish Smart Heater is the combination of two functions. The device not only heats the aquarium water, but also measures the current temperature.
On the outside, there is a digital display on which you can easily read the temperature. When you set the desired temperature, the display then shows the current water temperature again.
This gives you an immediate view of the temperature in the aquarium without always having to check a separate thermometer.
This is especially practical for tropical fish and other aquarium inhabitants that depend on a relatively constant water temperature.
Adjustable from 17 to 34°C
The thermostat of the Smart Heater can be set within a range of 17 to 34°C.
This allows you to adjust the temperature to the fish, shrimp, plants or other animals kept in the aquarium. Which temperature is suitable depends on the specific species in the aquarium.
After setting, the integrated thermostat continuously measures the temperature of the water. When heating is needed, the heating element switches on to bring the water to the set temperature.
This means you do not always have to manually switch the heater on and off.
For aquaria from 30 to 75 liters
The Smart Heater 100 Watt is specified by SuperFish for aquaria with a volume of 30 to 75 liters.
This range is important when choosing the right version. A heater must have enough power to keep the aquarium water at temperature, but at the same time fit the volume of the aquarium.
Within the Smart Heater series, multiple power levels are therefore available for different aquarium sizes.
The following specifications apply to this version:
Power: 100 watts
Suitable for: aquaria from 30 to 75 liters
Length: 27 cm
Temperature range: 17-34°C
The actual heating requirement of an aquarium is also influenced by, among other things, the ambient temperature, desired water temperature and placement of the aquarium.
Compact design of 27 cm
Despite the power of 100 watts, the Smart Heater has a length of only 27 centimeters.
The compact design makes it easier to neatly place the heater in the aquarium. For an even heat distribution, it is advisable to install the heater in a place with sufficient water circulation.
A position near the outlet of the aquarium filter can, for example, help to distribute the heated water through the aquarium.
When placing, ensure that the heater is installed according to the indicated minimum water depth.
2 mm quartz safety glass
The heater is made with 2 mm quartz safety glass. Around the glass heating element, there is also a plastic protector.
This construction protects the glass part and reduces the chance of direct contact between aquarium inhabitants or decorative materials and the heated glass.
It remains important to handle an aquarium heater carefully. Especially when removing it from or placing it back in the aquarium, it must be prevented from hitting the glass with hard objects.
Easy to set with external switch
The Smart Heater has a switch/sensor with which the desired temperature can be set.
This means you do not always have to reach deep into the aquarium with your hands for a temperature change. With the control, you set the desired temperature within the range of 17 to 34°C.
After setting, the display switches back to the current water temperature. You can therefore easily check what the measured temperature is at that moment.
Correct installation
For proper operation, correct installation is important.
First place the Smart Heater in the aquarium. SuperFish recommends that you then wait approximately 5 minutes before plugging the plug into the socket. This gives the thermostat time to adapt to the temperature of the aquarium water.
After this waiting time, the heater can be switched on and the desired temperature can be set.
On the heater is indicated what the minimum placement depth is. The maximum operating depth is 80 cm.
In addition, always ensure that the socket and the electrical connection cannot come into contact with water or water splashes.
Also be careful when switching off
An aquarium heater can become warm during use. Therefore, do not pull a warm heater directly out of the aquarium after switching it off.
First switch off the heater and give the device enough time to cool down in the aquarium water before removing it for maintenance or moving the decoration.
This reduces the chance of large temperature differences for the glass.
Regular cleaning
During use, algae, dirt and limescale can accumulate on the glass of the Smart Heater.
SuperFish therefore advises to clean the heater regularly. A sponge and suitable descaling agent can be used for this.
After cleaning, the heater must be thoroughly rinsed with clean tap water before being placed back in the aquarium.
A clean heater also makes it easier to regularly check the condition of the glass and the plastic protective structure.
Practical solution for a stable aquarium temperature
With the SuperFish Smart Heater 100 Watt, you combine heating, temperature control and temperature display in one device.
Especially the digital display is practical: instead of only having a knob with a set value, you can also directly see what temperature the heater actually measures in the aquarium.
Together with the compact size of 27 cm, the 100 watt capacity and the setting range of 17 to 34°C makes the Smart Heater a complete heating solution for aquaria from 30 to 75 liters.

Sera Soil Heating Set is an automated soil heating system for freshwater aquariums. In combination with a regular heating element, this set creates a slight temperature difference of 1 to 2 °C between the aquarium soil and the water. This creates natural water circulation in the soil, allowing nutrients to be transported more effectively to the plant roots.
This active soil circulation also helps prevent dead zones in the soil and turns the soil into an additional supporting filter zone. This contributes to more stable water parameters and vigorous, healthy plant growth. The set includes a 6-metre heating cable, a control computer with temperature probe, 10 suction holders and a safe 24 V transformer. MaJa Koi describes this product as an automated soil heating system for freshwater aquariums.
