The WMC Combi Drum 10/15 Low Gravity - Filtreau is a complete filter system from the Excellent series that combines mechanical drum filtration and biological filtration in one compact housing. This Low version has a relatively low installation height and is specifically designed for placement in a gravity setup.

With a maximum flow rate of 15 m³ per hour, the Combi Drum 10/15 Low Gravity is suitable for ponds up to 25 m³. For koi ponds, Filtreau recommends a maximum pond volume of 15 m³.

Mechanical and biological filtration

The advantage of a Combi Drum is that multiple filtration steps are combined in one system. The first section provides mechanical filtration. Suspended dirt particles are removed from the pond water before the water flows further into the biological filter section.

In the biological section, suitable filter media can be used on which beneficial bacteria can establish themselves. These bacteria play an important role in the biological processing of waste products in the pond water.

By combining both filtration steps in one housing, a compact filter system is created for ponds and koi ponds.

Drum with 120 micron filter mesh

For mechanical filtration, the Combi Drum 10/15 Low Gravity is equipped with a drum measuring Ø 400 × 200 mm.

The PP screen is fitted with stainless steel filter mesh with a mesh size of 120 microns. The pond water flows through the filter mesh, while fine solid dirt particles remain on the screen.

When the filter mesh becomes blocked by dirt, the water level changes. The float switch detects this and automatically activates a cleaning cycle.

Automatic cleaning

During a cleaning cycle, the drum is rotated by the industrial drive motor. At the same time, the filter mesh is sprayed clean with the internal flush pump.

The dislodged dirt is removed from the filter system via the waste outlet. This automatically cleans the filter mesh and requires significantly less manual cleaning than traditional mechanical filter materials.

Internal stainless steel flush pump

The Combi Drum 10/15 Low Gravity comes standard with an internal stainless steel flush pump. It delivers a pressure of 4 bar and has a power of 750 watts at 220 volts.

The flush pump supplies the water for the nozzles with which the filter mesh is sprayed clean during the automatic cleaning cycle.

Industrial drive motor

An industrial motor with 130 Nm is used to drive the drum. The motor has a power of 60 watts at 220 volts.

The drive system was specifically developed for Filtreau drum filters and ensures that the drum is automatically rotated during every flush cycle.

Integrated 40 watt High Output UV-C

In addition to mechanical and biological filtration, the Combi Drum 10/15 Low Gravity comes standard with an integrated 40 watt High Output UV-C unit.

This combines drum filtration, biological filtration, and UV-C within one filter system. The UV-C unit helps keep the passing pond water clear.

Gravity setup

This version was specifically developed for a gravity installation. In this setup, the filter system is placed at the correct level relative to the pond water.

The pond water flows by gravity from, for example, bottom drains and skimmers to the filter. The pond pump is placed after the filter system and then pumps the filtered water back into the pond.

The Gravity version features two 110 mm inlets and one 110 mm outlet.

Compact Low version

The Low designation refers to the relatively low version of the filter system. The total dimensions are 1350 × 852 × 598 mm.

This makes the Combi Drum 10/15 Low Gravity attractive for installations where the available installation height in the filter room or filter pit plays an important role.

Despite the compact height, both the mechanical drum filter and the biological filter section are housed in the same enclosure.

Control box included

The Filtreau Excellent control box is included as standard. It handles, among other things, the automatic control of the flush cycle via the float switch.

In addition, the control box features a manual rotation and flush function. The standard flush time of the drum is approximately 10 seconds, and the flush level is adjustable on the Gravity version.

The WMC Combi Drum 20/25 - Filtreau is a complete filter system from the Excellent series that combines automatic mechanical drum filtration and biological filtration. The system is designed for ponds and koi ponds and, depending on the technical design of the installation, can be chosen in a Gravity or Pump version. A matching Trickle filter is also available to further expand the biological filtration capacity.

This allows the WMC Combi Drum 20/25 system to be adapted to various types of pond installations.

Automatic mechanical filtration

The first part of the Combi Drum provides mechanical filtration. The drum measures Ø 400 × 400 mm and is equipped with a PP screen with stainless steel filter mesh with a mesh size of 120 microns.

The pond water flows through the filter mesh, where fine solid waste particles are trapped. As the filter mesh becomes clogged, the water level in the system changes. The float switch detects this and automatically activates a backwash cycle.

During this cycle, the drum is rotated and sprayed clean by the internal backwash pump. The dislodged waste is discharged from the filter system. This means the mechanical filter section does not need to be cleaned manually continuously.

Biological filtration

After mechanical filtration, the water continues to flow through the biological section of the Combi Drum. Biological filter media can be placed here, on which bacteria can settle.

The Combi Drum 20/25 has two air supplies of 50 × 300 mm for the biological filter section. Filter media such as Hel-X and Japanese mats are optionally available and can be chosen based on the desired biological filter setup.

80 watt High Output UV-C

Both the Gravity and Pump versions are equipped with two integrated 40 watt High Output UV-C units, together providing 80 watts of UV-C.

This combines mechanical filtration, biological filtration, and UV-C within a single filter system.

Internal backwash pump and control box

The Combi Drum 20/25 comes standard with an internal stainless steel backwash pump and Filtreau Excellent control box.

The backwash pump delivers a pressure of 4 bar and has a power of 800 watts. An industrial motor of 130 Nm and 60 watts is used to drive the drum.

The Excellent control box handles the automatic cleaning via the float switch. Manual operation for rotating and backwashing is also possible. The standard backwash time of the drum is approximately 10 seconds.

Gravity, Pump or Trickle

Within the WMC Combi Drum 20/25 series, several versions can be chosen. Which variant is most suitable depends on the technical design of the pond and the desired filtration capacity.

WMC Combi Drum 20/25 Gravity - Filtreau

The Gravity version is intended for a gravity installation. In this setup, the filter system is placed at the correct level relative to the pond. Pond water flows by gravity from, for example, bottom drains and skimmers to the filter. The pond pump is placed after the filter system.

The Gravity version has a maximum flow of 25 m³/hour. Filtreau indicates a maximum pond volume of 50 m³ and a maximum of 25 m³ for a koi pond.

This version features three 110 mm inlets and two 110 mm outlets.

WMC Combi Drum 20/25 Pump - Filtreau

The Pump version is intended for a pump-fed installation. In this setup, a pond pump pumps the water from the pond to the filter system.

This version is practical when a gravity setup is not possible or desired. The Pump version has a maximum flow of 20 m³/hour and, according to Filtreau, is suitable for ponds up to 40 m³. For koi ponds, a maximum of 20 m³ is maintained.

This version also features three 110 mm inlets and two 110 mm outlets.

Trickle for WMC Combi Drum 20/25 - Filtreau

As a supplement to the Combi Drum 20/25, a special Trickle filter is available. The Trickle filter is designed to further expand the biological filtration.

In a trickle filter, the water is distributed over the biological filter material and then flows down through the filter. The intensive contact between water, air, and filter material creates an oxygen-rich environment for the bacteria involved in biological filtration.

The matching Trickle has a maximum flow of 20 m³/hour, a 63 mm inlet, and dimensions of 660 × 320 × 882 mm.

Which version to choose?

Choose the WMC Combi Drum 20/25 Gravity when the pond is set up as a gravity installation and a maximum flow rate of up to 25 m³/hour is desired.

Choose the WMC Combi Drum 20/25 Pump when the pond water is fed to the filter system with a pump. This version has a maximum flow rate of 20 m³/hour.

Choose the matching Trickle filter when you want to expand the Combi Drum 20/25 with additional biological filtration and an oxygen-rich filtration step.

Gravity setup

This version is intended for installation according to the gravity principle. In this setup, the drum filter is placed at the correct level relative to the pond water. The water flows by gravity from, for example, bottom drains and skimmers to the filter.

The pond pump is placed after the drum filter and transports the filtered water back to the pond. This ensures that coarse and fine suspended dirt reaches the drum filter first before the water is returned through the pond pump.

Maximum flow of 30 m³ per hour

The Bio Drum 40 Ultra Gravity has a maximum flow rate of 30 m³ per hour. Filtreau specifies a maximum pond volume of 60 m³ for this version.

The actual required filter capacity and water circulation depend on, among other things, the pond load, fish stock, pipe resistance, and the overall design of the filter system.

Drum with 120 micron filter mesh

The heart of the system is a drum measuring Ø 400 × 400 mm. The drum is equipped with a flexible PP filter panel with fine stainless steel mesh with a mesh size of 120 microns.

The pond water flows from the inside of the drum through the filter mesh to the outside. Suspended dirt particles larger than the mesh size remain on the filter panel and are therefore removed from the water flow.

Automatic cleaning

As more dirt remains on the filter mesh, the water flow through the drum decreases. A stainless steel float switch detects the change in water level and then automatically activates the cleaning cycle.

The drum starts to rotate and stainless steel spray heads spray water against the filter panel. The dislodged dirt is collected in the wash trough and then removed from the system via the waste outlet.

This automatically cleans the filter mesh without having to remove it from the system manually every time it becomes dirty.

Internal stainless steel wash pump

For automatic cleaning, the Bio Drum 40 Ultra Gravity is equipped as standard with an internal stainless steel wash pump.

This wash pump operates at a pressure of 5 bar and has a power of 750 watts at 220 volts. The pump provides the water pressure required by the spray heads during drum cleaning.

Industrial SPG XL drive motor

The drum is driven by an industrial SPG XL motor. This motor delivers a torque of 130 Nm and has a power of 60 watts at 220 volts.

The drive motor was specifically developed for use with Filtreau drum filters and is mounted on the filter with a double seal.

80-watt High Output UV-C

The Bio Drum 40 Ultra Gravity comes as standard with an integrated 80-watt High Output UV-C unit. This combines mechanical drum filtration and UV-C treatment within a single filter system.

The UV-C unit helps keep the passing pond water clear and is directly integrated into the filter system. This means that no separate external unit needs to be placed in the piping for this UV-C capacity.

Control box included

The Filtreau Excellent control box is included as standard and controls the drum filter.

The control box supports automatic cleaning via the float switch and also features manual controls for rotating and washing. A standard drum wash cycle lasts approximately 10 seconds.

In the Gravity version, the wash level is adjustable. The control box also features connections for the wash pump, pond pump, drum drive motor, and UV-C unit.

Magnetic safety protection ensures that the control box switches off when the lid is opened. There is also a wash safety feature that switches off the system if it is washed for five consecutive minutes. The system must then be reset manually.

Three inlets and three outlets

The Bio Drum 40 Ultra Gravity features three 110 mm inlets and three 110 mm outlets. This allows the filter to be integrated into larger gravity installations with multiple supply and return lines.

The Red Label BASIC Drum 20/25 is a complete drum filter system that combines mechanical filtration with an integrated 40 Watt INOX UV-C and a fully automatic flushing system. This continuously removes dirt particles from the pond water, while the UV-C unit helps control suspended algae, bacteria, and other harmful microorganisms.

This filter system is available in both a Gravity version and a Pump-fed version. When ordering, you can easily choose the version that best suits your pond installation.

Gravity or Pump-fed version

The Red Label BASIC Drum 20/25 is available in two versions.

Gravity version

In a gravity setup, the pond water flows through the bottom drains and/or skimmers by gravity into the drum filter. This setup is widely used for newly installed koi ponds and ensures highly efficient water circulation.

Pump-fed version

In the pump-fed version, the pond water is first pumped to the drum filter by a pond pump. This version is ideal for existing ponds or installations where no gravity system is present.

After purchase, we will coordinate the desired version.

Automatic mechanical filtration

The pond water flows through the rotating drum, which is equipped with a 120 micron stainless steel screen. This removes dirt particles from the water down to approximately 70 microns. Among other things, the following contaminants are automatically filtered from the water:

Fish waste
Feed residues
Leaves
Algae
Organic suspended solids

Because this contamination is removed immediately, the biological filter material remains cleaner and can operate more efficiently.

Fully automatic flushing cycle

When the screen becomes dirty, a pressure sensor detects the falling water level. The flushing cycle then starts automatically.

During this cycle:

the drum rotates automatically;
the internal AquaKing Q800103 flushing pump cleans the screen;
the spray heads remove the dirt from the filter cloth;
the flushing water is discharged via the waste outlet.

After a few seconds, the drum is completely clean again and the filter system automatically resumes normal operation.

Integrated 40 Watt INOX UV-C

The built-in 40 Watt INOX UV-C unit helps keep the pond water clear and healthy by:

The Inline Combi 30/35 Low Filter Red Label from AquaKing is a high-quality, fully automatic pond filter system with a compact inline design. This model has been specially developed for ponds where efficient water flow, limited installation space and ease of maintenance are key priorities. Thanks to its inline configuration, this filter system is particularly suitable as a replacement for traditional room filters.

This version is supplied including filter media, making the filter system ready to use immediately and ensuring optimal performance from the very first start-up.

4.5 m² of original Red-X filter mats for effective mechanical filtration

Two versions: Gravity & Pump
The Inline Combi 30/35 Low Filter Red Label is available in two versions:

Gravity version – for gravity-fed pond systems
Pump version – for pump-fed installations

INLINE COMBI technology
The INLINE COMBI design consists of filter chambers arranged in a single line. This design:

Optimises water flow
Reduces resistance in the system
Provides a compact and easy-to-view filter

This makes this filter system ideal for situations with limited space or where an efficient replacement of existing filters is desired.

Automatic drum filtration
The drum filter is equipped with a 120 micron drum screen, which effectively removes fine debris and suspended particles from the pond water.
The internal wash pump automatically cleans the drum when contamination is detected. The double brush system keeps the waste collection trough clean and reduces manual maintenance to a minimum.

Advanced biological filtration
After mechanical filtration, the water flows through the moving bed filter, filled with Hel-X Biocarrier. Harmful substances such as ammonia and nitrite are converted into harmless nitrate, which is essential for a healthy pond environment.

Built-in UV-C disinfection
The integrated 40 Watt INOX UVC unit combats algae, bacteria and fungi and helps keep the pond water clear and healthy. Because the UVC unit is integrated into the system, external UV equipment is unnecessary and water flow remains optimal.
