The Corner Filter 50 Pump White - SuperFish is an original replacement pump for the SuperFish Corner Filter 50. The pump is intended to replace the existing filter pump when it is defective or worn out, while the filter housing and the other parts of the Corner Filter can still be used.
This is exclusively the separate pump and not the complete Corner Filter 50. This allows you to replace the defective part specifically without having to purchase a complete new filter system.
Original SuperFish spare part
SuperFish offers various separate spare parts for the Corner Filter 50. In addition to this complete pump, the filter housing and the pump rotor are also available separately.
This pump is specifically intended for the Corner Filter 50. Therefore, always check before ordering which filter model is present in the aquarium. Parts for, for example, the Corner Filter 100 are not automatically suitable for the Corner Filter 50.
Used in the SuperFish Quadro 40
The SuperFish Corner Filter 50 is used in, among others, SuperFish Quadro 40 aquariums. When the pump of the Corner Filter in a Quadro 40 needs to be replaced, this original spare pump can be used for that purpose.
Always check whether the Corner Filter 50 is actually present. Especially when replacing parts of an older aquarium, it is wise to check the type designation of the existing filter beforehand.
White version
This product is the white version of the Corner Filter 50 pump. The pump itself is black and equipped with a white cable. SuperFish also offers a black version.
The difference between the white and black version is therefore the version of the cable and the application with the corresponding color variant of the aquarium/filter. When replacing, preferably choose the same version as originally present in the aquarium.
Function within the Corner Filter
The pump ensures the necessary water circulation through the Corner Filter 50. Aquarium water is guided through the filter and passes through the filter material present before flowing back into the aquarium.
When the pump no longer functions properly, the water circulation decreases or may stop completely. This can also limit the operation of the filter. When cleaning the pump and rotor does not provide any improvement, replacing the pump may be necessary.
Replace the complete pump or only the rotor?
Reduced water circulation does not automatically mean that the complete pump is defective. First check whether there is any dirt around the rotor or in the water passages.
For the Corner Filter 50, a separate replacement pump rotor is also available. When only the rotor is damaged or worn out and the pump otherwise still functions well, replacing only the rotor may be sufficient.
If the pump itself is defective, this complete Corner Filter 50 Pump can be used to make the existing filter system complete again.
Maintenance of the filter pump
Regular maintenance helps to keep the water circulation good. Dirt, food remains, plant material and other deposits can accumulate around the rotor and in the pump over time.
Always unplug the plug from the socket before opening the filter or performing work on the pump. Then carefully remove any dirt from the pump and rotor compartment.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents for cleaning parts that come into contact with aquarium water. After cleaning, the parts can be reassembled and the filter can be switched on again.

This spare pump was specifically developed for the SuperFish Corner Filter 50. Therefore, check the type designation of the existing filter before purchase.
The product is exclusively the Corner Filter 50 Pump in the white version. The filter housing, filter material and other parts of the Corner Filter are not included as standard.
